How do you create the smoky flavor (bulmat) of Yeokdae Jjamppong?
We adhere to a cooking standard of stir-frying 90 times. Because the smoky flavor comes not from ingredients or seasoning, but from the process of handling the fire and wok, we stir-fry seafood and vegetables over high heat for a set time so the smoky aroma infuses the broth. The slogan "Stir-fry 90 times for real smoky flavor" comes from this standard.
Is it okay to visit alone?
Yes, it is fine. We offer a Solo Set (Meal menu + 11,000 KRW) for solo diners. With 8 pieces of tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork) and 3 pieces of dumplings, it is not too much, making it great to pair with a bowl of jjamppong or jajangmyeon.
